Coach Alvaro is an accomplished water polo coach with 13 years coaching experience. He has coached at the highest professional level at the national league of Spain as well as Division 1/2 High School CIF SS. Currently, Alvaro serves as Head Coach for Great Oak High School as well as Head Coach for the Olympic Development Program, SOPAC Area Cadet group.

Career Highlights in Spain:
– 2 times LEN Trophy Qualifier with senior team, played in Serbia and Greece
– Qualified 3 times for Queen’s Cup (Top 8 teams in Spain)
– 3 times State Champs for Andalusian Tournament.
– 2 times State Champs for Andalusian Tournament-16U
– 1 time State Champs for Andalusian Tournament 14U

Coach Val played water polo for 13 years as a center forward. She played Division 1 Collegiate Water Polo at Bucknell University, and also played 3 years of professional water polo in Greece and in Spain.

Career highlights:
– Three-time Honorable Mention All-American
– Four-time first-team all-conference selection
– CWPA Southern Division Player of the Year in 2008
– Rookie of the Year in 2007.

In Spain, Val coached kids aged 4 through 10 in the fundamentals of Water Polo at Club Water Polo Dos Hermanas. Val currently lives in Temecula and works as Vice President of Operations at solar company Freedom Forever

I have been playing for 10 years . I have been trained in all positions in the pool and completed as a goalie for a few years . I played at the Olympic Development program for 2 years and made it to the National Team Selection Camp both times. This is my fourth year coaching splashball. I have also coached 10u and 12ufor a season. Currently I play High School water polo for Murrieta Mesa High School.
